No signboard (無招牌) is not good. They ripoff customer. I was charged 600 SGD for 3 adult meal last time.

Mellben is the best choice and you should try crab soup noodle which is great.

For nice view, you can try palm beach and ask for table next to water where the price is reasonable.

Black pepper crab, if you are ok on hawker center, can try Eng Seng

Teochew dish, you can try Huat Kee which is recommended by Choi san. And the food is really nice.

For singapore style laksa, you can try 328 Katong Laksa (postal code: 428770). The noodle served is cut into small piece. So you will use spoon to eat it.

Guess you may want to try Prawn noodle

, you can try Beach Road Prawn Mee Eating House (which is on E Coast road but not beach road), Postal code: 428981. Be reminded to check if it is open before you go. They only open in the afternoon and do not open every day.
