Riley and I have been together for roughly more than 4 yrs now. When I picked him up, he was a stray dog, scared , starving, underweight and full of injuries. But through months of nourishment, medication, love and care, he became healthy happy and strong again. Throughout this time nobody came to claim him. So I took the next step and became his owner. There was an occurrence when he did not respond when I called his name and he was almost hit by a car. That was when I knew that proper training and education is very important. So I brought Riley to training school, and also I educated myself with proper training techniques and communication skills needed with Riley. Sometimes Riley can be a bit hyperactive so the trainer recommended the use of a prong collar when training. Which is a very common training tool with larger breed dogs. This is to ensure the safety of him and other dogs. I will never hurt Riley in anyway, or even ever think about giving him away or abandoning him. I don’t even see him as my dog, he’s my son, he’s family. And I only want to give him the best. We have a really deep connection and relationship. The kind that only Riley and I will understand. It’s unconditional. Riley and Stephanie get along very very well. Steph loves and cares for Riley so much. Just know that Riley is very happy and he’s safe at home where he belongs.
