Read the Saturday (5/2/09) San Ramon Tribune and it report that H1N1 Virus found in a elementary school in San Ramon ... I'm not joking.
"At approximately 7:30 Friday evening, 05/01/09, the Contra Costa County Health Department notified the San Ramon Unified School District that a Coyote Creek Elementary School student has tested positive for the Swine Influenza (H1N1 Virus).
For the safety of all students and staff, Contra Costa County health officials have ordered that Coyote Creek Elementary School, located at 8700 Northgale Ridge Rd., San Ramon, and the attached daycare facility be closed beginning Monday, May 4th. School may resume as early as Monday, May 11th, unless we are advised to extend the closure beyond that date."
Also, today (5/4/09) Mercury News report that there is a second probable patient over the weekend.
Happy Matt,
wash hands, wash hands, and wash hands..
it is not that serious, it is not a community outbreak. We just have to have good personal hygiene. Then we can help to stop it.
at this moment, just maintain good fluid intake, and high Vitamin C to maintain good immune system.
If you have a flu/cold, stay home at least 7 days.
If you start to have a flu/cold, within 2 days, visit your primary doctor, they will have the flu meds.. just as oseltamivir or zanamivir which will help you to reduce your sign and symptom.
limit to go to public or over-crowded area if you don't feel well.
also, in NYC, it is not community outbreak.

我諗暫時都唔駛太恐慌,但一定要留意衛生,因為就算唔係swine flu,其他流感都可以好嚴重.而家係同兩個b成日洗手,連我老公都要成日洗.
咁快好返哂?! I hope that is true la. Even I don't think H1N1 is terrible like SARS, anyway 都係小心d好. I was a little nervous before coz the school found inflected kid and have propable case is just 5 minutes away from my home.
Fortunately, US is not that high density like in HK ... should have less chance to have contact with people who already inflected.
