If you miss a plane, then you miss a plane, what's the big deal? There are many flights throughout the day, especially if we are talking about SE Asia destinations.
If the airline (regardless of whether we are talking about budget/LCC or traditional airlines) itself is the cause of the delay, do you think they will care?
Just relax, after all air travel is just another means of transportation (just like travelling by metro, bus, ferry, trams, trains...), don't treat it as anything special.
As response to OP, as you have not stated whether you are all adults, or travelling with children/elderly, then probably arrive at the airport 2 hours before take off.
