Did the name on the air ticket need to be identical to the name on the passport ?

e.g. my name is Chan Tai Man
but the name on the ticket is Chan Tai Man, Peter

Because the ticket is redeemed through Asia Miles. But the name of the Asia Miles account is Chan Tai Man, Peter while the name on the passport is Chan Tai Man.

So can I take on the plane ?

If u depart from HK, it's definitely ok
But some country is too strict, e.g. Australia/China
In that case, I'm afraid u've to pay handling fee & reissue
the ticket(takes long time)

Actually, do u have any ID/mbr card/credit card with
nickname "eter"?
In future, pls fax passport copy to ASIA MILES & amend ur
profile asap

but don't take further risk in future lor
If u have time(1hr waiting), call ASIA MILES & request
to put ur NAME ON PASSPORT in the booking(only airport staff can see on computer)
