It takes time to let bb get used to it but when u first get started, u can make some happy n excited sound n motion when u put him down, play with him immediately.... First few times may still fail but at least to let him know u r still around him even he is put to bed... My b used to be like yours but more interactions really work for my b. Now I can put her onto the playmat for a while n she plays by her own. But I usually will tell her I need to do this n that n will come back play with u soon la... N when I walk by, also say hello to her n do funny faces...(act like a crazy woman! Hahahahahh) but it works! Heehe
