I want to employ one bun bun who is just finished contract. My agents said that bun bun need to have 3 - 5 weeks for documents processing and the maid need to back to their country first. Therefore, the maid cannot start to work with us when signed contract. As in my friend experience, they said their maid no need back to their country and she can work with them immediately.
I've employ one finish contract(4year) Bun bun but I prefer to let her go back to Indo first for 2 weeks and then come back and work for me.
But actually you can ask the maid not to go back to her country and work for u at once but the case is if u prefer to employ her like this , she can work for u for 1 year and after one year she still has to return to Indo and then come back to HK.then the Immigration dept will extend the rest 1 year visa in her passport.
u have to think whether u are really in need to have the maid right now.I won't choose the 2nd choice because i am afraid the maid will find it difficult to work for me (coz I am going to have my 2nd baby)). If she work for me for 1 year and after she return to Indo she may not want to be back and work for me,So I ask her to go back to Indo before she start working for me.

if you are not in a hurry,why don't u let her go back for 10-14 days?! But there's still a possibility that she won't come back to work. SO PLEASE DON'T PAY FOR HER ONE-WAY TICKET BACK TO HK.!!!!!!!!!!YOU JUST TELL THE AGENCY /THE MAID THAT YOU WILL GIVE HER BACK THE AIR TICKET FEE WHEN SHE ARRIVES YOUR HOME!!!!!IF SHE REALLY COMES BACK TO WORK FOR U,SHE DOESN'T MIND U DO LIKE THIS!!!(this is how I employ my maid this time!)
Another thing to remind u is that you have to discuss with the maid that you don't want her to be pregnant when she's back to HK and ask her to do some preventive measures(my maid herself also doesn't want to have baby so she went to receive the contraceptive injection)
From my experience, the maid need to take the visa first, then she can travel back to phillipine, so the time is quite long, the fast pass is 2 weeks for visa, then go back to phillpine 2 weeks, maybe around 1.5 months. the main concern is she will not come back after leave. I just asked her to extend the leave after one year, because, I can plan the holiday myself, and if her performance is not good, I may dismiss her within a year, save the ticket.
