chunchan,
Just taking Tim to Tokyo in late July with my hubby. Surprisingly, he behaved better than when he was in HK. He's willing to sit on the stroller. Well, they don't have the bathing basin for bb. So, I washed his hair using the sink. THen I let him bath in the bathing tub. He liked that very much.
As we took the flight very early, Tim went to sleep very soon on the plane, ie, he was sleeping for most of the time.
In general, TIm was very cooperative. Also, I think Japan is a very good option for taking small kids for trip as nursing room is everywhere.
We went to Taiwan when my boy was 26 months. He could not sleep at the beginning because he was very excited, but then he got too tired. We brought his duvet too, but we did not use at the end as the hotel provided a baby bed/pillow and duvet. We also brought some dettol to clean the toilet/bath tub etc. Also, we brought a travel potty which could be folded.
I took my girl to the States when she was 10 months... and next week ( she's now 2 and half) we will go to San Francisco again.
1. the hotel generally have bb amenities.. like BB 沖涼盤, BB bath foam and shampoo.. some even diapers... so ask the hotel to prepare ahead. this way you don't have to bring so much.
2. No need to bring too many diapers.... you can buy there... it's easier.
3. Ask your Dr. to prepare some medicine for your BB just in case. also, sedation medication is recommended if your child wouldn't sleep on the plan. and also to overcome jetlack.
4. bring extra set of clothing for BB on the flight.... so when they get messy or wet, you have another set.
As for me.... my girl travel with me all the time... and I 've never brought any water.. and it was okay with her.
Hello all,
I just came bac from the States with my 2 year old...
Amazingly, we survived the 15 hour flight.... she was so Good.. and sleep for most of the time. when she got up, she watched some TV and play for a while and eat and sleep again,,... I had to pull her out of the seat to walk for a while coz I don't want her to seat for long time.
Jetlack was okay... not too bad.. =
After 2 weeks, she finally got sick on the last day, 104F fever... so we had to take her to the doctor...
OH... one thing to remember, always buy travel insurance ( health) when you travel with BB... especially when you're going to the US...
I got reimbursed 100% ... buy HxBC... I think they're the best!
