provided that there are records to show, such as ask your maid to sign receipt of money, cheque everytime she receives it for your records. For autopayment, of course, you have the bank statement of autopay from time to time.
my agent told me it should be in cash unless the helper agree to pay in cheque. make sure you have a proper signed record from her and keep the bank statement to prove the cheque has been settled.
