Don't worry. My son's eyes were chasing my maid when he was 3-4 months old. And he responds to her more than me. Just when I was back to work after maternity leave. So I spent all evenings with him in my room (just 2 of us, somethimes with daddy) to play and talk. And I won't go with my maid in weekends. He knows the difference of mom and maid when he was 5 months old. My son is 8 months old now. He cries if I just walked pass him to changing clothes and washing hands after work. He just can't wait long for my hug.
Every nights, I can just have maximum 2 hours with him. Cos he will go to bed around 9pm. Show him you love him. Play with him happily. Remember that the quality of the time you spent with him is more important than the quantity of time you spent with him.
do you know why ? i am also breastfeeding mom, since your baby knows you have milk, she can smell the milk from your breast, and when you hold her, she wants to ask for milk , or sometimes even she is not hungry, she just wants to have comfort.
so, other than you, if your maid, or other people hold her, she will not cry because she does not smell the milk.
especially for the baby for 1-2 months, they also want milk, sometimes every 1.1/2 hour, it does not mean you do not have enough milk or other reason, it is because of their needs.
i would suggest you click into the breastfeeding topic for more chatting and sharing, you will find more answers.
