My maid has tendered her resignation and is serving out her notice. Today, she left home with just her handbag but when I checked my building cctv, she left the building with a big stripey storage bag. I suspect she had already moved the bag outside the flat before I got up to let her out. I checked her stuff in her room but it doesn't look like she has taken any of her stuff out. Now I don't trust her at all and want to cut short her notice. So when I terminate her do I pay for upto her resignation leave date or i still have to pay her 1 month pay in lieu of notice.
You can release her early but you need to pay her until the agreed last day=>the last day according to her resignation letter.
I heard a lot that the maids will "take" employers' things before they leave their job. It is the time you need to pay extra precaution. My friends' maid even store "things" at the back stairs of the building. Some of them in the same building work in groups.
