my baby was borned on a lunar new year holiday at a private hosiptal.. i don't think the resources reduced but it is true that the number of expecting women at the hospital was very less.. it was actually preferred because the hospital was very quiet and roomy.. nurses were closer to you..
you are going to lose your mood and time to enjoy the holidays if you choose to deliver prior to the holidays..
don't worry too much.. but do plan the best ahead and even pay to get arranged because the first week will be crazy and stressful for you.. remember all you need is the energy and rest for yourself and the baby after your baby comes.. otherwise, even if you are willing to pay after you got home from the hospital.. it will be too late to arrange the things you have missed.. you will end up being restless and helpless..
so don't worry now but just prepare and act on your preparation.. there are more for you to think and take care afterwards..
i admitted canossa on the lunar new year eve and exited on the 3rd day of the new year.. no surcharge.. most things looked normal at the hospital except very few expecting moms.. but i did give red pockets to the nurses..
