係大埔教育學院附近呀~~~ 佢地有校車架，如果由火炭去我估大約3-4個字la.... 間幼稚園吾收細仔架，佢地除左有n1-k3之外，仲有幼嬰班，專收1-2歲既小朋友架，博博就會讀呢班嘞

Hi,

I have visited Boxhill on a saturday month ago (not openday). It seems quite new for the area. During my visit, there was just 1 playgroup playing in a classroom. And the lady (not sure if she is 1 of the teachers) said most of the students last year entered "啟新" after studying K2. And 1 (or 2??) entered DGS after studying K3.

How come it needs a interview for nursery??? ?-( Babies are only 10 months old...

thanks for sharing of visit to Boxhill. Actually another intl kindy, THINK is also one of my favourite nursery for my twins too. However, a friend of mine recommend me THINK is better than Boxhill... I have never visit these two kindsy so far coz I'm busy during weekend to escort Joshua to his ECA... and so your recommendations/suggestions here help me much arrr...

Re: Interview

Well, to an exact, it just a chance to let the teachers/headmistress to meet the parents and baby(ies)... they will explain you in detail their teaching philosophy, the routine, what they expect....of coz some nurseries that I know will test the fine motor skills of babies BUT the one I'll attend soon is purely on chit & chat ...

Any favourite nurseries you have foudn???

Talking about the school... I just have chance to visit Boxhill jar... it seems that if studying in Boxhill, int'l schls will be the final destination most likely!!

Actually, which nursery your twin-gils are going to interview?? Which kinder eventually Joshua is now in?? And what is ECA??? (hehehe, sorry I dont have much knowledge on this.. :loveliness: )

BTW, I remember that u r living around shatin area? why dont u find nursery around there?

To us, we just want our babies studying around our living area, no need to take long trip everyday. So I have to put much effort to search suitable schl in MOS... hehe... too lazy for me!! :mrgreen:

For my twin pair, they dont like to crawl... just want to be carried all the time :cry: how about yours??

I also want my BB to study in 培正. 培正唔會收細 ga! For our BB born after 1 Sep, it is required them to go to K1 on 2010 ah! (i.e. more than 3 yr old, near to 4 yr old to be as K1 student). So, I don't want to let my BB study too late :-| :-|

Joshua is now studying in St. Catherine's nursery class. Last year, we applied Yew Chung for him and he studied there for 1 whole year.

For twin sisters, YC is now inviting us for interview and possibly they will reserve two seats for them in next Nov. However, both I and my husband would like to choose a nursery closer to my home for them so as to shorten the time in travelling by schoolbus...

Headache?!

Lois and Eunice ... they start to crawl for a few weeks... and both of them are energetic crawlers......

hey, where do u live? we can have twins' gathering.....

actually MOS is not far away from Kowloon Tong. Many of my friends who live in MOS also sent their kids to SC/Kentville.... like Joshua, he gets on the schoolbus by 7:40 and arrive school by 8:25...

does your home close to the MOS park? quite convenient to us coz very close to carpark + canteen + shopping centres / park'n shop/ playground/ indoor playroom/ library... we often meet our friends and have children gathering there,... maybe we can meet there also if you like.

We also haven't brought our twins out always too... sometimes we bring them back to church in Sunday morning... soemtimes to the playground in the podium...we think that we can increase the frequency of outdoor activities when they start to walk... (I guess maybe by the time of Christmas/ CNY laa...)

Time goes sooooo fast...........

Happy to know that we can have a mini-twins mami club here (u know, 3 women make a 'hui'

the question of being 大仔 (2009 K1 entry) or 細仔 ( for 2010 K1 entry) always makes me headache too... I haven't decided it now and I'll wait and see whether they can accomodate the N1 life when they become 2 yrs old first.

Since I have an elder son at home who is now 3 yrs old, the twin sisters like to 'copy' from this little big brother all the time... and Joshua is happy to be the model of them (e.g. Joshua will demo and lead them to crawl, play with them ...of coz sometimes he will hit them accidentally...) and the twins see Joshua goes to school everyday... so I guess they will encounter lesser problem guaa.........???

Re: St Catherine's

For Joshua, we applied a few kindys for him last yr. and luckily all of the kindys gave him offers

... at first, I did worry much on his interview coz he was only a 2 yr little boy and he wasn't an assertive boy ... however, the result turned out was... soooo can't say it's easy or not ar....

Any help for kids taking the n1 course???? difficult to say coz the interview will be held at early Nov every year and so the kids by that time are still accomodating the n1 course....

oic, baby is a good copier, so i think big brother will teach your baby girls well. Up to now, my bbs still like a small
potato, i can't imagine ?-( that they need to carry a
school-bay, go to the classroom and sit well listen to
teacher, also they can't go poo poo and wee wee
themselves...ha ha ha....

why your son just studied in YC for 1 year and then
change to SC? Are there any disadvantages of YC?
i think your son is a smart guy, many schools gave him a seat.

u ar rite, we can make a "hui" now. maybe we can have a little twins party.

babies grow sooooooo fast.....

the curriculum of YC 2 yrs old class is great. It provides a good environment for kids to explore...however, since we do not opt for IS route and so we switch to SC after the completion of 2 yr old class.

Many of my friends' sons/daughters also got offers from different kindys last year too... so... my comment is.... no need to worry abt the place

2 years old class i.e. N1. N1 is different from K1, isn't it. If i apply N1 for my bbs, then i need to get the forms now. But i hv checked tho' internet last night, SC just has K1,2,3. is it no nursery class?

btw, do your baby girls like fish congee, for my twins,
brother is ok but sister hates it a lot. when i feed her, my spoon need to chase her mouth form left to right and
right to left, somtimes i will play with her like a clown, then she will forget to shut her mouth closely, so exhausted.
What can i do?????????
