Have you gone throguh both tests? Dr. Ho should refer you to a nutritionist. Basically cut down all the carbonhydrate, i.e. rice, noodle, and sweet stuffs.

Does anyone have any experience with this? I am worry...
Any good meal plan? Any suggestion? Thanks!!
A blood sugar test will be performed around 24th week. A second test will be performed for those who are "in-between". I am one of the lucky one that was found having gestational diabetes after the first test. I was asked to attend the GDM clinic hosted by NYGH. It was a 3-hours seminar and I was asked to fill a form re: medical history (personal and family members') and what I used to eat during pregnancy. Then, a nurse / nutritionist discussed with me what should / should not include in my daily diet to reduce blood sugar level. Finally, they gave me a blood meter to monitor my daily blood sugar level at home and a small group presentation was held to further introduce what is gestational diabeties and where to get future assistance.
I am now in my 31st week and my blood sugar level is kept at a stable range with some modification on my daily diet.
Below are some info I searched on the internet, hope it may be helpful:
The result of my first test was bad...the sugar level is higher than normal. I will do the 2nd test tomorrow (2 hours). Hopefully, I am okay la!! I cut down my carbonhydrate and sugar intaking after the first test already.
I am just worry, therefore, I posted this topic ahead for more advises.
