I use salt water to soak the thinly slice bitter melon for at least 30 mins. Rinsed it thoroughly and ensure you squeezed out all the water later. I like to fried it with eggs. My girls love it.
Previously I used those expensive Japanese Bitter melon (Cost around $30-$40 each) ...then I found that those cheap local bitter melon can do the same but much cheaper (around $5 each).
I teach my maid quite a few times but she still can't do the same as I did...I guess, she did not rinse thoroughly or did not squeeze out all the excess water.
