May I ask why your mum and mother-in-law do not want you to breastfeed?
I'm definitely breastfeeding for 9-12 months.
Honestly, your baby is yours and you as his mother should give him what you think is the best!!! I'm glad that you are keen to breastfeed because it is really good for the baby. Formula (milk powder) has the nutrition for our babies but also it has many ingredients that the baby don't need and therefore hard to digest (that's why babies feel fuller for longer time with formula milk than breastmilk).
If you are concerned about going to work, pump out the breastmilk and store it in the fridge beforehand. You can get someone to bottle feed your baby with the stored breastmilk.
Again, other people can say what they want but it's really up to you whether you want to give your baby the best.
