My maid is asking for 3-week holidays, she is planning to go back philipine. How about if she gets pregnant after the holidays? Can I ask her to do a test at clinic after she comes back?
Also, before a new contract is signed, can I ask her to do pregancy test?

actually she said she will take hoilday during summer vacation,
but yesterday she told us she has to go back earlier for marriage.
She is unwilling to delay the date.
Is it very unreasonable or 'cruel' to
ask her to change such an important date.
Please give me advice.

Actually she should take her leave Jan 04,
& then starts another new contract.
but she said at that time she'd like to take
leave during summer holiday.
And now suddenly she said she will get marry in May!
Our plan is totally upset by her!
Now it seems there is little we can do:
ask her to sign a resignation letter
& do a preg. test when she returns.
Worry that she will refuse to do
since she has many aunties to teach her
this & that.
What ballpen said is reasonable. Your maid has a 2-yr contract, cannot come and go as she pleases.
If she refuses, don't let her go back.
She is just pretending not to understand.
You must also be careful in the coming weeks -
she may well disappear and fly back to Phil., get married and then come back pregnant.
