-my baby now is near 9 months old..
is it need to buy a palypen??
-and my baby was very fat(26 lbs)..
the playpen is it hard enough to support my heavy baby to play in??
-and the playpen nornally can use how long ??
How much is it and what's the brand? Where did you buy that playpen? I want to get one for my 8 months old boy but I am afraid it would be too big for my place, still struggling......
I bought the play pen at 柏奇(Discovery Bay)c-max 網床, $299
Size, length 41 inches, width and ht around 31 inches.
With reference to "On Becoming babywise", playpen can be used until 20 months old of baby. It has advantages to develop baby's focus in certain things. It provide a safety environment for my baby to explore and play with toys by himself. Otherwise, he play with me and exhausted me. If you have a room to provide safety enviroment for your baby to explore, you may not need a playpen.
To start with, put your bb into the playpen for about 10 minutes. Talk to him there is a new place for him with toys there. After putting him into the playpen, don't disappear immediately (especially at the beginning). The length of stay in play pen may then be increased gradually up to 30minutes, then one hour.
Remember, play pen is not a place to restrain bb. It provide a safe environement for him to explore and play by himself.
Seems the size is not so big. But Discovery Bay is too far away lah.....Maybe I can go to other department stores to check. Actually, I just worry about that the maid may not be able to take care of the baby esp when he can crawl and walk. I am on holiday these few days and I found it is exhausted to look after the little guy!!!
