You are kind to your maid. In my family, only I have a cabinet to lock the essestial documents only - my husband and my children do not have any drawers to lock his things.
In my opinion, this is not a great problem and she only store her belongings into the space you allocated to her. I advise you to allocate a safe space in kitchen to put her dangerous tools.
