My husband suggests to employ second helper to take the new born child. My existing helper is Philippino, I am wonder if I should take one more Philippino or Indonesia ?
You have only one child or you have two? How old is the elder one? You have to go to work, right?
If you have only one baby, you can find a temp local maid (Chinese). Don't get two maid from the same place. They would either stand at one side, against you or they would fight with each other. (Usually the old one will ask the new one to finish all the task. The old one would become the boss.)
Moreover, when your baby has a schedule, maybe when he/she is 3 mths, it is already much easier to take care of. It is easier (and cheaper) to stop the temp helper rather than terminating an overseas maid's contract.
Get a local Chinese, tell her that you might only need her for a few months. You can contact 家務通 or the Labour's Dept. You will receive much response.
