9 months baby just 15lbs

Hi all experience parent,

I've a tiny babe, he eating not very well & no interesting for food & formula, of course we tried many different foods or formula for him. All doctors no idea for him, including famous private & HA doctors.
Do any experience parent have any chinese or other traditoinal method for the baby like this?

Hi,

Any exercises? Any sun bath? Takes BB having one more bath in Summer and let BB play in water.

If BB had done exercises, he/she may be hungry.

Thanks City Hunter,

He is very active & he love roll "n" roll & standing in his cot. Sun bath? you mean naked in the beach? sometime my mum & I'll put him setting a trolley to garden for awalk.

I did, I regularly to do with him, I also bring him to go physio & doctor every months after he discharge from hospital.
My baby have four teeth now but when the guys see my baby, they're very interesting why the baby so small.

As long as the baby is healthy, no need to worry so much. Health is more important than the weight.

Hi, I also have this experience before. Now my son is nearly 28 months. He is still thin, only 24 lbs.

When he is baby, he also don't like to eat or drink milk. I also take him to see doctor and have the blood test to see whether my baby is lack of iron. My doctor told me that some baby will lack of iron which will cause them not to grow well. Then baby need to take special medicine. But after blood test, my baby is everything normal.

Now he is better now, willing to eat but not much. But my son like to eat outside very much, such as 飲茶 in the restaurant. He will eat a lot.......

So don't worry! If your baby is in good health and active (my son can walk when he was 9.5 months), this situation will be improve later.

And you can try to give different kind of food for your baby, such as bread, 通粉, 粥....etc. See which one he like most. Like my son, he like to eat 通粉 before, now he like to eat rice.

Dear IamwhatIam,

Further to TSZHOMA, you may also try to give me cheese (you can add it and boil in the congee) and yogurt.

My colleague's son are having same problem, then I suggest to this to her and then she found her son eat more congee. She also told his son dislike yogurt before (while he is 8 months) so she did not give him any more after. But she tried to give him again (her baby is 20 months now) and he can finish the whole bottle now.

So, don't worry, her son is only 21 lbs (20 months).

My son also very light, when he's 9 months, I remember only got 16 pds. Now he is 14m only 19.x pds. :-(

Don't worry, if he is healthy is OK !

My baby is also very small, he is 11 months only 8 KG but so far he never gets sick..(Touch wood), I tried every things and dietician told me to put 2ml sunflower oil in his formula, but it did not help. I use already rice water in his formula and also useless.. :-( I can only said take it easy...
