我家下先寫封信俾工人俾一個月通知佢 (即係31 Aug) 雙方同意之下解約

跟住我家下要叫工人拎D野去菲領事申請新合約於1 Sept生效

拎左新合約就去入境處到申請新VISA

咁D申請FORM係咪同我續約果D FORM 一樣?

有無野漏?

some of my frens' levy are due only 2-4 mths later, so they are still under consideration if it's worth to do.... because at the end, they may only save 1-2k jar!

我都左計左計
AGENCY FEE可以免
但機票果D就要同工人傾下俾幾多佢

唉..其實份續約係2/8/08生效
但我叫左工人7月頭去攪所以原本可以拎哂47個月
家下就無囉

But pls be reminded. this situation is only applied for the same employer's name to "terminate and sign new contract" to save the levy fees. otherwise u still hv to submit financial proof for the application.

besides, i hv one question, what if i use my husband name to hire my maid after 2 years.... do i hv to pay long service?

預計1-July-12簽新約到其時可享2年Levy豁免....即係可以enjoy free levy till 1-July-12..
- keep依家contract = ($3580 x 23) + $9600 =$91940 (Aug08-July 10)
- new contract (July 10 – July 12) = $3580 x 24 = $85,920
- July 12再續新contract 至= Aug 12 $3580 + $400 = $3980(呢張無豁免....因為再renew will start on July 12 to June 14)
- total = $181840 + 機票($1500) + 辦理手續費 ($500)
= $183840

S3) 一個月續約/新約
係 1-Sep-08 轉新contract...(因為已交1期levy)
- 由1Aug 08依家至1-Sep-08 = $3580 + $2400 = $5980
- 2-Sep-08續新contract (2-Sep 08 –1-July-10) = $3580 x 22 = $78760
七月提早請工人 OR 續約
- 1-July-10 再續新contract 至 July-12 = $3580X 24 = $85,920
- July-12再續新contract至= Aug 12
($3580+$400)x 1 = $3980 (呢張無豁免....因為再renew will start on July-12 to July-14)
- total = 174640 + 機票($3000) + 辦理手續費 ($1000)

=178640

相差 $5200

以我經驗所得，只要工作地址不變，管你不斷地變更以」奶奶、姑奶、舅仔」作為僱主，你走唔甩 long service 的。 (I am quite sure about it. )

sigh~~~ my case is a bit tricky

My contract w/maid started on 27.2, but I paid the first levy on 28.1, so my 2nd instalment of levy WAS DUE on 28.7 (just past!!!). In other words, I would have already paid $4800.

I've calculated that if I would terminate the contract and renew now or before the 3rd instalment is due, I have to pay $5408.

Agency fee : $1500
ImmD fee: $160
Agency charge: $348
(for maid)
Air fair (+ tax): $1000
New income for maid: $2400
(I have not discussed w/maid yet whether she'd like to have cash instead of the 3.5 - 7 days leave)

So, the difference is that I'll have to pay $608 more (as compared with $4800 outstanding levy). Assuming that I would terminate and renew the contract again, say in June 2010, I would be able to extend the period for enjoying the levy waiver until July 2012 (assuming the next contact will start in July 2010).

So, it would be $608 for 5 month more of levy waiver ($608 < $2000). Another thing is ... while I pay almost the same amount for everything (and a bit of "earning" from levy waiver), the money I paid goes to the pocket of my maid (who has been doing very well) instead of to the Gov't. That's why I'm still struggling whether I should terminate and renew.

Any advice??
