We went to Australia in mid-August this year and we would like to share the schedule as it might be useful for your next trip. We spent 4 days in Sydney and flew to Brisbane. We drove to Gold coast and spent 5 days there, follow by another 3 days in Brisbane. We took all our breakfasts and most of our dinners at our serviced apartment. Honestly, it is illegal to feed the wild animals in Australia but I admitted we had fed sea gulls, pelican, birds, ducks and turkeys during our trip.

The place, Natural Bridge, to see the Glow worms is inside the Springbrook National Park. The best time to see the Glow worms will be 5:30pm - 8pm. There are many great mountain views inside the park so I recommend you to visit the park after lunch and enjoy some low grade hiking at Twins Water Fall and then view the Glow worms in late evening. It is really dark after 5:30pm and you must bring a torch with you in order for you to walk to the cave under the Natural Bridge. Most of the places I visit is freely admitted but it may be a little inconvenient if you are not driving. Out of my expectation, there are quite a number of tourists visiting the Natural Bridge as I am a bit timid to walk in the forest after dark. So you don't need to worry that you might get lost in the wilderness.
There are a few places I highly recommend you to go, the Botanic Garden in Mount Tambourine, the beach at Surfer's Paradise and the beach outside the Charis Seafood Market, the Horse Riding Experience ( the farm I listed above is good but there are a lot along the road to Springbrook National Park) , the Museum of Brisbane, and City Library at Brisbane. Also, the EKKA show is a highlight of our tour but it only offers once a year.
