I just submitted citizenships application, said need around a yr time.
They have now 2 yrs limited validity Passport to apply 6-8 weeks before yr travel date. Need valid proof of travel and receipt of submission of citizenship application.
My wild guess is they stop/delay processing the normal passport for kids that’s why they offered the 2yrs validity one instead and it can be issued faster than the normal one.
I just submitted the application for my kid.
For 2-year passport application, the official in the office said I also needed to bring a coloured copy of my citizenship card to prove my citizen status (as my kid's citizenship was not granted yet) in addition to air ticket and the receipt of his citizenship application.
