I have consider this two lens but finally i got myself a 70-200mm f/4. The major reason is because the 70-200 f/2.8 is really large in size and heavy in weight. In most of case, i may need to carry my 1.5 yrs old daughter and thus i don't want my other shoulder carrying the 70-200 f/2.8.

Of course, it also depend on whether you really need the f/2.8. In any event, they are both L lens are thus should produce excellant optical quality.

Agree both are very good Lens.

If you want a very DEEP depth of field then 2.8, if also in low light situation then 2.8 IS. But other then that 4L is good enough most of the time. Very good resell value too.

I have a 2.8L, I like it lot but when I start using 28-70 2.8L, I don't use 70-200 2.8L as much, but cause of its weight.

Are you using it with DSLR? If so please remember the 1.6x factor wor!

我覺得 300D 同 20D 最大分別在於材料及做工。功能是有些分別 (主要在測光模式)，但如果能靈活運用，300D 的成像和 20D 的相差不會大。如你要輕巧的話， 300D 比 20D 更合適。

In terms of body build and function, of course 20D outperformed 300D. However, i will suggest you to consider your own usage, such as whether you really need all the manual control like metering. Besides, weight is always another concerns for father like us.

For black 300D, i just saw one in broadway, TST shop (Ocean center).

People get "posioned" :mrgreen: and upgrade.

Check out this second hand

Should see current trading price form old posts and current price on street. I only recommand those still have warranty from Canon Hong Kong.

Hahaha, my 70-200 f/4 L is also bought second hand. I am also talking to a guy for his 28-70 f/2.8 L. As the guy has not told me his selling price yet, what price you think is reasonable. Accordingly to his description, it is a 3 years old lens (Canon Hong but of course warranty expired).

My painful experience concludes the followings.

1. Re-sell value for lens other than the original brand is low such as Sigma, Tokina... etc.
2. The quality of them is not too good although Specification seems to be good.
3. Durability is in query.

Buy a good (may be expensive) len with original brand such as Canon, Nikon..etc is better.

In addition, I would like to share my experience to you.

I also got a top model in Tokina in the past, Golden Ring 70-200/F2.8. Re-sell value is only about 20%. The focus speed is much slower than USM (Canon). In addition, USM (Canon) is much slient.

Therefore, deeply thing about this point. That is also the point I will only choose Canon lens in the future.

20D + Small small L...... Originally I think it's good. After thinking about the price variation for the digital product, I think the technique is improving so ripidly and the price goes down too quick which make me to think.......think....think... but still not yet buy.
Digital product is still different to the traditional camera that the price of latter is still quite stable like my Canon 50.

Pemit is obtained but small L or small small L is still discussing with my BOSS.
