if your son has 鼻塞 only, but no 鼻水，it may not be sick, may be because of 鼻敏感. My daughter has the same case, she will be 鼻塞, esp at night time and when she is lying down. Anyway, you can bring him to doctor for check-up, don't worry. But if he's really 鼻敏感, it's no way to cure.
