點解有d網址用 http://www.xxx.xxx
but some just use http://xxx.xxx
what's the difference?

Using the www (world wide web) prefix is just a convention.

If you set up a web-site, you can follow the convention to name the home page as www.*. Of course, you can also use any other name you like (e.g. home.xxx.yyy).
