I will go to Tokyo during easter, could anyone please advise me should I rent a phone here in HK or pre-order one and collect it at Haneda airport? Which way is cheaper, and please recommend the shop. thanks

我平時都唔租電話...但今次屋企人係中環租左2部電話...

係HK transfer call....去到個邊兩個電話互打唔駛$$ (朝早到晚上9PM).. SMS全日唔駛$$... 打番HK $6/ MIN...

租7日都係$2XX...好方便...

但我要問下屋企人係邊到租先.....

如果你有3G電話，去買一張漫遊卡(HK$88儲值電話卡)，將自已個電話飛去儲值電話卡就得啦。價錢比租機平好多。

We don't have 3G phone, but only a blackberry, but I don't think we could dial out only receive calls. We will drive in Mt Fuji, so we will want to have a phone in case of emergency.

中環果間我都租過，租機費連電話費約HK$420, 我有打過返HK,日本local 電話聽就免費，不過,借同還都要加多一日，因為你要去中環取機同還機，我覺得有D唔方便。
至於日本機場租機，羽田機場有，一出就會見counter，至於成田我就唔清楚。不過，我知ANA 同JAL 都有香港租機，日本取機呢仲服務，詳情你要問有關航空公司。

我每次去日本都租機, 我覺得又平又方便, 出發前仲知道tel no, 我个blog有d information, 可以参考下．
KAISAI AIRPORT都有rental service.

咁麻煩你話比樓主聽中環舖既contact...

我問過屋企人...佢話佢都唔記得左個contact....佢淨係識行去...~.~

不過佢話我地打得返HK太多 ....所以找數要 $3XX....

但我覺得都算抵...同埋真係好方便....我地成日分開行....一個電話/ SMS就約到...

下次就算我同老公兩個去都租定呀....太開心勒...

If you fly by ANA, they have free rental mobile service. You only have to paid for the outgoing calls and free for receiving calls. JAL also have similar service but have to pay for the mobile rental.

Could you please tell me how it works? How much it cost for making a local call and int'l call to HK? And which shop that I could purchase the roaming card? thanks
