我囡囡都係咁, 仲會hyper, 要你不停咁同佢玩, sweating 等, 明明係食咗会sleepy ge medicine, she won't sleep all night but keeping playing. We have told this to doctor, but seems no other option. Finally, we change to another doctor.
it really depends upon the nature of disease and medicine
a lot of young children (< 2yrs) have what some may called "reactive airways" when they have cold symptoms. Some of the "bronchodilator" (open/ loosen up the airways) can increase the heart rate, and make children irritable, restless and even shaking afterwards. you may want to check the medicine, bec. some doctor mixes a few different medicine into one bottle, and sometimes it may make the side effects worse.
You can always see another doctor for second opinion, but remember, always bring ALL medicine with you!
by the way, some children becomes more aggressive and "hyper" when taking the so called sleepy medicine (paradoxical effect) - avoid them if this is happening to your child
So far I think my girl is ok with sleepy medicine... she can sleep quite well... but the problem is she's extremely unrest before she can fell asleep...
