But my baby has eaten much less since 2 months old. When she was 1 month old. she ate 4-5 oz. But starting from 2 months old, she only ate 2-3 oz. And this situation continues for about 3 weeks.
Can some experienced mother suggests why this happens and what should I do?
My bb is same as yours. She started from 2.5 months now she is 4 months but the case seems the same. I have started to feed her cereal (even early) and let her eat a bit more. This is my way to solve this problem.
Hi HappyMaMaBaBa,
Maybe u can try to feed yr baby for 2-3 oz first, and then try another 2-3oz around 3mins later. U may not get it done at the very beginning. Be patient. Try to make your BB 食多d.
Maybe yr baby doesn't like the formular milk taking.
one of my colleagues changed for more than 8 kinds of formula milk for her baby. Endup, she found one her baby like.
For my case : When my son was around 4 months old, he took aroun 8-10oz a meal and 5 meals a day. However, his weight didn't have a tremedous growth. Endup, my doctor told me that the formular milk he had taken for 4 months was not suitable for him.
See if this experience is meaningful to u.
Thanks for your information. I will try to feed her several times but within an hour for each meal to see if she can eat more.
BTW, can baby less than 6 months old change different kinds of formula milk? As I know, is that baby should keep to eat the same formula milk until 6 months old then can change to other brand?
Mine was same as you when he was 3-months old. He usullay takes 5 oz per times, however, he could only drinkes 3-4 oz, and then takes the balance half an hour later. The situation keeps continuously upto now even though he can drink more. As far as he's healthy & happy, I'm fine with his drinking patent. So, be patient....
Regarding SoBiMami said, her colleague trired to have different formula milk for her baby and finally need to switch 8 brands to find the most suitable one. The reason is if you don't give breast milk to yr baby, it's you to decide which formula milk for yr baby to drink. However, you don't know which formula milk is most situable to yr baby. Therefore, you need to try by error.
Of course, it is a very extreme case. Hope it never happens to any other mothers.
Usually, 6-month is the time change to 2nd level of formula milk.
Like my son, he took 愛他美for the 1st month. Since I found him having too much phlegm, as recommended by another doctor, I changed to S26. Then poo-poo problem came as many mami experienced. As I said, I then changed to Onemeo.
Frankly, it is very tired for changing and changing.
