Not in my case. Actually I was told by my private doctor the baby's gender 3 weeks before QEH's ultrasound examination. Therefore when I attend the QEH ultrasound examination I have no intention of asking the doctor the gender.
我鐘意你同我講 I Love U, I Love U Too!
You are the sunshine of my life. That's why I'll always stay around. You are the apple of my eye. Forever you'll stay in my heart.
My first and 2nd bbs were both born in QEH. When i did the check-up and ultra sound, the nurses did not tell me the gender of the bb. I also did not ask them.
Now I'm expecting and when i did the ultra sound in week 20, the nurse also didn't tell me the gender of the bb. As I don't wanna know, i didn't ask her.
I think the main purpose of 產檢 is for checking of the pregnant woman and the bb
while ultra sound at QEH is for checking the structure of the bb. really the gender of the bb is not a medical concern.
my friends told me that some medical staff of Kwong Wah, PWH, etc would tell u the gender but it's not their responsibility indeed. in addition, sometimes it's not 100% clear / sure, so they might not tell you. just like some other people, you can visit private doctors for the check up / checking of gender...
