3 asked how about SPK? I said same arrangement, If hubby joins, then 0% to get in, he won't join, then 50% to get in (although someone said parents go together will be better)...
For those parents whose kids are going to have interview with St Paul's Convent Kindie, here are some questions (to the best of my recollection) which parents must prepare for the answers:
- Are you working?
- Who is taking care of your kid?
- Are you Catholics?
- Do you go to church every Sunday?
- Which church?
- Do you often dine with your kid?
- Do you have 應酬 after work?
- Why do you choose this kindergarten?
- What do you expect that your from this kindergarten?
- Which do you think is the best kind/method of communication between teachers and parents?
- Can your kid wear clothes by himself/herself?
- Can your kid wear shoes by himself/herself?
The above "you" refers to EACH of the father and mother.
I can't recall whether questions like "do you work overtime?" "What do you play with your kids or how do you spend your time with your kid" "Have your kid attended school" "Can your kid eat by himself/herself?" were also asked.
But information such as the kid's religion, parents' occupation and working hours should have been stated in the application form and when we were waiting for the interview to take place, we had to write down on a piece of paper (to be handed in) which school your kid had attended.
I have no idea what is the "model answers" (if any) behind and the scores behind each type of answer.
I feel that the main point of the above questionaire is to assess how much time you ARE PREPARED TO and you CAN devote to your kids.
As for the interview of the kids, I cannot offer much assistance since my kid cannot recall a single question! Others told me that kids are shown some kind of simple pictures and asked what are they all about. The questions should be simple but bear in mind the kids are not accompanied by adults though the interview of kids and parents took place simultaneously in a single room.
