I am staying in Dongguan, like you, because my husband is working in Dongguan. I went there 1 years ago when my bb was half year old. I think you need to bring along the milk powder. Find a good water filter to be installed. :)
about safety,
(1) dont talk mobile on the street, when it rings on the street, let is ring or find a supermarket or safe shop
(2) be careful about motorcyclist passing-by you
(3) do not bring handbag if possible.
Do you know any school in Guangzhou which is taught both in Phutonghua and English? I want my son to live in the campus too.... If you know any good school, please tell me.... thanks a lot... :wink:

improving...
Although many people said how horrible is GZ, I still
find here saftety. Maybe I not always go out at night la.
The living stanard here still lower than HK a lots.
Only medicine problem and now facing the primary school problem.
i already moved gz for 1.5yrs la. so far so good. everything works very well.
