I started to drink on my 36th week as well. It is for easy delivery. It took me 2 hrs to deliver the baby eventually. My boy is almost 8 lbs and it is my first time :)
I think it may help but not as good as 腐竹 because it lacks 白果. And most importantly is you always don't know what is the way they make soya milk. They may add a lot sugar inside. You know when I cooked 腐竹, I just added a little bit piece of rocky sugar. Too much sugar will not good for the baby and make the baby too fat to deliver. So think twice.
