I can capture the the video clip to PC in avi file but the file is pretty large for a video clip of few minutes (over 1G bytes). Any good way to compress it and convert to VCD or DVD?
Any recommendation for avi to DVD/VCD conversion program? It is OK to me to comprimise on video quality. IG bytes is really too big to share with other. I would like to get it down to around 100K or x00K bytes.
For the file sizes, Yes the DVD-R able to store up to 4.7GByte per disc (single layer). But for the 120min video means the storing of DVD format (MPEG2) data which is compressed one.
For your AVI file, it is a non compressed format hence requires larger file sizes.
The same situtaion as the audio CD file and the MP3 file.
For your case, I presume you have a DVD writer installed in your computer, right? Normally, those DVD writer should bundle the software for burning DVD dics with simple file converting function. For my case, I bought an external DVD-writer conncects to my note book. The writer bundle a software calls something like (power DVD disc creater?). It will capture my DV AVI file and then converts it to VCD (MPEG1) or DVD (MPEG2) format and burn to the disc.
Please search your computer whether you got similar software already.
