Hi,

你可以用financial calculator去計一計這plan的回報。這plan的特點不是在小朋友18歲時拿保額的25%，而是這plan會自己行，到孩子30 /40歲時有一筆很大的儲備。

I also buy this plan for my daughter. Actually, the return of such insurance saving plan will not be good and the charges is very high. In the first few years, most of your premium is the agent's commission.

I take it as a saving only and the agent is a honest people (my friend), so I buy it la.

If you want a higher return, I think just buying direct fund will be better.

如果保證加非保證，呢個計劃平均每年回報大約有六厘，如果只係計保證部份，咁平均每年回報就只有大約三厘。但係近年非保證部份一般情況下都達唔到，所以你最好預佢平均每年四厘回報左右，回報算幾低，同定期差唔遠。

如果你真係想用有保證o既保險儲蓄計劃，有ｄ公司可以保證四厘或以上，加埋非保證部份，回報會好過Prudential、Manulife等計劃，如果你可以接受冇保證o既基金儲蓄計劃，回報更加會高好多。

I want to confirm if you want to draw out all money (US$500,000) when you son reaches age 18 or want to have guaranteed cash paid out US$500,000 at age 18?

If you want to accumulate $500k in 17 years, and you invest in a fund portfolio with an average return of 9% per annum, you need to invest $1,036.25 per month in order to achieve that. If you invest in some insurance plan with an average return of 4% per annum, you need to save $1,709.6 per month.
