Yes ar! My bb is now 9months 2 days and just start to crawl. When he is 8.5month, he still not able to sit properly (shifting) and doesn't know how to crawl.
However, last week I have my annual leave because 99 was on her trip. I spent a lot of time with him, playing on the play mat with toys! (intensive traning, hehe) And, attract him to get the toys he like. Just one week, he can sit properly and start to crawl tim, though just very very small step. But, I am so
** Remember Don't help him to put the toy into his hand, otherwise, bb will never know they can crawl **
But, heard many mami said their bbs do not know how to crawl but, jump to walk . So, every bb are different. Don't give yourself too much pressure.
She could sit really well and loves standing (with our support of course). But she is just very reluctant to have her tummy on the ground. I have tried to use toys and remote controls (she loves them) to allure her but of no used. She will then crouch as far as she can. If she gets what she wants, she will sit up straight away. But if she cannot reach what she wants, she will stay there (crouch with tummy on the ground) for about a minute then CRY!!! I have tried everything to try to distract her. I even crawl besides her to show her how to do it.
Sigh. This lazy girl, now, not even rolling over. She used to do it everyday, but once she knows how to sit, she doesn't care about rolling over at all.
Cos I put her in a day care centre. It would be much much better if she knows how to crawl or walk.
Will try again and hope eventually one day, she will know how to crawl.
My twins girls like to crawl a lot now. Previously, it was the small one who knew how to crawl first, but the big one just kept sitting. We finally found out that it depended on how the care takers trained them. As I have two maids, one to take care of one baby. The maid of the small baby has patience to teach her how to crawl. She let the baby laid down and turned her over, then pushed her little feet left and right. The small baby picked the way to move herself forward in a few days, then crawl very very fast. Later, we instructed the lazy maid how to teach the big baby. Now even the big one crawls not in the same way as her little sister, she can still crawl really fast. So, be patient, the baby will finally get into the right way.
