Hi babachu,
i am a working mama and i have two sons. i just bought the disney set 1 month ago, it costs $38xxx it is very expensive and actually the materials are not so much. my 2 years old son likes it very much becuase he went to the disney theme park before and find that all the characters are the same as the discs so he is very interest with it and watch everyday. my younger son is 6 months he likes to watch and listen as well but he doesn't has the patient to finish the whole disc, but i think when he become older around 1 year old he will also like it very much becuase my elder son start to get interest with the movie, songs and the cartoon when he was 1 year old. After i bought the disney set i stow up all the others songs and cartoon discs becuase i want him to be concentrate on the disney set only.
I brought DWE when my daughter was 5 months old. She is 3 years old at the moment. She can speed full sentence in English and communicate with me and my maid without any problem now. DWE do help her to in developing her English skill.
But besides DWE, I provide an English Environment to my daughter all the time. We speak English to her at home and let her watch Pearl and International Channel only. I really think more interaction with her is more important than just using the material from DWE.
I bought DWE for my daughter when she was 4 months old;
It is good for her starting to learn English when she was a baby, but she seldom touched it after entered kindergarten; She is K2 now but the activities provided by World Family member and DWE progame are already too easy & simple to her, so I sold it to other BK mammy few months ago.
I think it is good learning program for pre-school children only
