I bought the set of Disney's World of English for my son, does follow their instruction on how to make good use of it. I personally satisfy and I can see my son likes it too. My maid speak English to him everyday to give him an English environment as well.
My maid is quite ok, only some words that she can't pronounce correctly, it is understandable that English is not our mother language right, that's why I decided to take this DWE programme for my son, then my maid and myself can learn from DWE too
Package set of DWE start from approx. $21,XXX - $50,000 (if I'm not mistaken )
My consultant suggested me to do it step by step. Hear the CD first, flip thru the book (even though he doesn't what it is) and sometime watch the VCD (say 15 mins max). I rarely let him watch VCD.
My son loves the songs esp the one with animal vocal sounds. I think you meant a player with cards, talkalong cards right?

How does your son respond to it? Does he watch the video? I think there is also a player for different word cards. Is it good?
Well, difficult to say works or not (I'm positive la). It's all depending on babies development, coorperation with family members and how much time you spend with him on the programme. At least I have tried to do my very best on him and give him the chance right.
I agree with you. I think parent's effort is also very important. I have heard of the BBC english programme Muzzy and don't know whether it is good. Have you heard of it? I saw many parents plan to send their babies to English play group. Should I also do that?
I never heard of this programme, sorry no comments.
My son joined an English playgroup class in Central, personally speaking I like it very much. I want him to get used to interact with different nationalities. Actually it doesn't matter you go to any languages playgroup as long as you and your baby enjoy.
Justin loves the book, he can sit quietly and read with him for over 20 pages each time and if I let him touch, he'll beat or put into his mouth
I never force him, just keep it as a habit, it's been 4 months time now. My friend's kids pronounciation is really perfect because of taking such programme, hopefully Justin can do so too
