Congratulations on the good progress you are making in Brisbane. Hope you will find a job soon.
So which suburb do you now settle in? Are there any procedures in getting a place in school (I mean things like interview or tests etc)? Do you have to pay a school fee?

I am at 8 Mile Plains. No special procedure to enrol school unless it is famous school then you need to enrol since the kid born. Your school may need interview for your kid see whether he/she need ESL support (English as Second Language) if your school has this facility.
No fee for state school but you need to pay the book cost and the unitform is pretty expensive relatively.

I not yet move to 8 mile plains until end of Nov. 8 Mile Plans is very convenient to access motorway to city or Gold Coast. Also has public bus (every 15min) to city and only take around 20mins to reach CBD.

My kid yet to start school until Jan 07. Last Sunday not strong sunshine then go to a park to take sun bath and sleeping on the grass, also taken some bird and duck photo for fun.

I cannot answer about whether is it every level also need ESL support, I think its depend on the school interveiw and recommendation. Besides, some school may not have facility for ESL.

For all information, my container shipped at 11-Oct, reached brisbane port on 28-Oct, local company pick up on 2-Nov and custom clearance finished today 7-Nov. Only take five days to clear the container. Now ready to deliver to my house.
