You should start potty training when your child is about 2-2.5 yrs old. Or if your child shows you signs that it's time to do potty training such as : finds interest when you go to toilet; doesn't like to wear diapers, tries to pull off the diapers etc.... The best time is to do it during summer cuz they will find it very uncomfortable and hot when wearing diapers.
It doesn't have a difference of pee pee or poo poo first. What you'll need to do is to bring your child to the toilet every 30 mins. Your child might not have it every 30 mins tho so if you bring your child there and he/she doesn't have pee pee or poo poo then let him/her go. Bring him/her back to the toilet every 5 mins after until he/she pee pee or poo poo then start 30 mins again. Don't yell or scold him/her when he/she doesn't have anything, just tell him/her it's ok, we'll try it again later. When he/she successfully pee pee or poo poo in the toilet, praise him/her and give him/her a little treat like a sticker ( I don't preferr candies).
