Well, I don't mean CMI is not good. The point is you should note that the students' level of English should be worser then those EMI schools. In these few years, noted lot of university graduates with poor english standard, really feel very terrible. If you expect your son/daughter to work in business field/interntaional firms in the future, better not choosing CMI school, english is their "only" advantage compared with the mainlanders now. However, seems like more and more of them are losing this advantage now..
If your son/daughter don't really want to get into those 2nd tier band one school. Think carefully before you put them on your discretionary places list. Since students have two choices now, some of you may want to be more conservative in choosing your second choices.
However, one of my friend's son is still complaining his mum why put 馬可賓 as second choice for him. Since he is not very top band one, 百周年 did not offer place for him, and 馬可賓 accept him and he lost the chance to get into 百周年. However, many of his classmates, with ranking lower than him, can also go to 百周年 in cental allocation (攪珠). He still feel unhappy to be 馬可賓 student and don't really like to wear the school uniform when he has gathering with his primary schoolmates.
