Bingo ~ shall we shake our hands here to confirm our neighborhood in future? haha~~
I think we bought much earlier than you - when Central Adelaide was sold in HK for the first time - back to 2014. Which flat did you buy? Shall we PM each other? :) We are at the 16/F.
Did you chat with Eric - the developer at the exhibition?
We also bought a two-room flat, with 2 toilets (we need that) and with a car space. We were told that we "won" a lucky draw at that time, so we are supposed to get a free Lancer when we get the flat. Any lucky draws now?
We paid a trip in 2014 Autumn but nothing was constructed yet on the land of Central Adelaide. We brought this out to Eric and challenged his promise to handover the flat to us by end 2015 (it was now extended to 2016 because there are some financing problem with banks, as far as I know). Now the Dreamland has gone (there is a Dreamland on the land before) and seems that the construction work is in progress now, I hope they will keep their promise to complete the project by 2016.
We already planned our next trip to Adelaide again next year during CNY. The objective of the trip is to organize a number of school visits to some of our target schools, as well as to check on the progress of the construction work.
BTW, if any of you got good schools to refer to us, kindly let us know. I dun fully trust what the HK agents introduced.
We also bought a 2 beds 2 bathtooms one at 5/F at the exhibition for investment. Also, no lucky draw is arranged so no car gift....... But all expenses are to be borne by developer which we further gained its furnuture package for free costing around 20K. We not know Central Adelaide at all such as the nearby environment. Grateful if u could keep us posted of the property news. Welcome PM me anytime. Thanks!
Yes, it's slightly more expensive than other properties of similar nature. However, given the fact that it is closed to CBD (pretty close, I can walk to Central Market from Central Adelaide) and the "gifts" that they offered (e.g. furniture package), then the price may not be too high.
Afterall, we plan to use it ourselves (maybe) so we dun mind that the cost is a bit higher. And due to the fact that overseas buyers are not allowed to buy 2nd hand properties, we have limited choices. In fact, I would love to buy a house instead of apartment, which is apparently much lower in price!
But my hubby said house is good in a way that it is spacious, yet the maintenance cost, security etc could be a concern, and he said that apartments would be easier to be sold in the market, so that's why we bought Central Adelaide.
I used to go to AUS a number of times every year, I will take some photos to show you after I checked again its progress next year!
Gonna capture more AUD$ now to pay for the apartment, you are lucky that the currency rate is low when you buy! We pay $6.2x when we paid our deposit in 2014 ga!
