Why I don’t usedoTerra, Young Living or other Multi-Marketing Brands of Essential Oils
I get asked often why we don’t offerdoTerra essential oils and so I wanted to compile in this blog post the reasonswhy including resources and references. However these are just some of manymore references for essential oils. Misleading marketing
doTerra usesthe term “certified pure therapeutic grade” in their marketing. Well, it’sexactly only that – marketing. There aren't any certified essential oils because there isn’t anyrecognized organization or agency that certifies essential oils. So, doTerracoined the term, put it on their bottles and trademarked (see the TM after thelogo above) the term. What does it mean? Nothing as their oils are notcertified. They use the term as their way of letting others know that they testtheir oils (like most essential oils good providers do). But, it makes for goodmarketing that doTerra sales reps (called “consultants”) and users most oftenthan not misunderstand to mean that the oils are certified.From doTerra’s website ~
