1. Use LAN cable to connect modem to Router WAN port
2. Use LAN cable to connect individual PC to router LAN port (there should be 4 LAN port, 1st PC to LAN1, 2nd PC to LAN2, and so on)
3. Switch on all the devices (modem, router, PC). Your PC should have an IP address like 192.168.x.y (x, y being integer from 0 to 254)
4. Open an IE window, type in web address "http://192.168.x.1" (x is the number you note from your PC's IP address) You may be asked for username and password. Please read the quick setup guide or manual of your router.
5. If your modem is cable modem, check if WAN IP is 0.0.0.0. If so, you need to cycle power your cable modem, and press the renew IP button on the router setup page.
6. If your modem is ADSL modem (Netvigator), select WAN / broadband connection type as PPPoE,
and input the username and password of your ISP account. With router, you no longer need to use the PPPoE dialup program of your PC.
7. If everything goes fine, you should be able to access to internet by now.
