Be a full time ma or not?

I planned to be a full time ma at the start of the year. However, due to sudden changes, the plan is postponed until this month.

My aim to be a full time ma is to raise my baby by myself and to be with her as much as I could b4 she grow up to be independent.

However, as my baby will go to pre-nursery this August, I wonder whether the plan should still go as planned. Since she would stay at school in the morning, then back home to eat lunch and go to sleep in the afernoon => she is awake for only 2 hours maximum (excluding lunch time) before I back home from work. So the value or need to be with her seems very low.

I didn't like my job (but not hate) and my husband did not agree me to be full time mom now (due to the situation mentioned abouve). How do you moms think? As a passer, do you think it is worth to take care baby by myself even for just 2 hours more each day? Thanks for your advice. itchy scarp....

咁要睇你地經濟能力,係唔係可以放棄工作

如果因為佢返pre-nursery覺得陪佢時間少左而
打消念頭,我覺得你似會計師計數-以錢為上,
錢可以買到好多嘢,但買唔到真情
你唔止日日多兩個鍾(兩個鍾可以發生好多嘢)陪佢,
重可以陪佢返學放學一路行一路講,非常溫馨

我雖然放棄左工作,但而家都無後悔,我覺得值得

I pretty agree isischeung's words, there's something really money can't buy.....LOVE, but I'm telling you be a full time mami is not that easy ...should be much more hard then you now

i understand you because we have the similiar situations. My 2 years old daughter will attend half day nursury in coming August but I still choose to quit my job and be a full time mom this month. Because i don't want to have regret in missing every moment with my bb and witness her every growth. Maybe your bb sleep much at that moment..but as he grow bigger..the nap will be much shorter..and he will ask greater demand in getting more interpersonal communications. Besides, i think family education is also very important and this needs time to bear fruit. In short, if the financial situation is OK.Go ahead to be a full time mom...It's HARD but it's also FUN..it's also LOVE

Your comments are actually quite sound and do refresh me. Thank you very much!

regarding financial situation, I could say it is very 鬆動 now cause my salary is around 40k/month. If I quit the job, we would not have any monthly saving then for our high expense. Both me and my husband are the financial 支柱 of our mom's family. And we would like to have 2nd baby as well, for growing up together with my daughter. Therefore we do have financial pressure. :cry:
