In my opinion, 供化算 D ..... if you buy those in Wan Chai or other location where the "地皮" is more valuable, you may get a higher return when the 地皮被收購.
On the other hand, if you rent, the money in your bank e.g. $100 now will not worth $100 in the future. The bank interest is minimal and no gauranteed gain from stock market if you invest it. Holding cash without better usage means that your money will be devaluated. If you buy a property, at least you can live in the property or rent to outsiders for generating money. Of course, it depends on the location of your property ie. value of the 地皮....
