Avent manual pump problem.. PLEASE HELP!!

Since I need to go back to work soon.. I've been using my new avent manual pump.. is it normal that the milk is backflowing from the star part to the pump when my body's not leaning forward during pumping... I thought all milk will be going inside the bottle?!
Please help...

yes, if there is too much milk and it is not drained fast enough. allow some time for the milk to drain down.

Hi JenJenbaby,

In order to make sure the good sucking power of the pump & no leakage of expressed milk, I removed the soft pumping cushion.
The problem was resolved afterwards, very convenient during "

umping one side, when direct breastfeeding another side".

You may try!

Gunsou, I've already waited for a bit and pump ga la.... the milk flows back.. maybe it takes time la.. thanks anyway..

Thanks, chiuchristan.. I'd try to remove the cushion.. cuz it's a bit hard to put the nipple in with the cushion on... btw, is it ok to steam everything.. except the handle and the round shape thingy to cover the handle?!

I call the HK dealer for help. They are friendly. If you have problem in using the pump you can call 24224476.

The tips for not leaking the milk to the flower cushion:

Pump and hold the handle for 10second. Let the milk flow down the bottle, then pump again and hold. Remember you don't need to pump " HARD" ga, gently to your own breast and relax can help you !!!!

Besides, the whole set of pump can safe steam ga.

check if u have misplace the star???

u should put from the bottom... if u misplace, milk can't flow into the bottle, instead keep there and backflow.
