Enjoy the second hour free parking at public estate car park? 小心

Within these few days, we parked our car at Chuk Yuen Estate car park in Wong Tai Sin and also at Lung Hang Estate car park in Tai Wai to enjoy the second hour free parking. The process in these 2 car parks are the same that we just need to go to the shroff to pay the parking fee together with a receipt to prove our consumption at the shopping mall. Therefore, we thought that it is the same process at Sun Tsui estate in Tai Wai. However, it is not.

Today, when we drove our car to the shroff and were ready to pay the parking fee, we learned from the staff there that we need to find a staff who is at another building to chop on our receipt before we could enjoy the second hour free parking. My husband told the staff that we just had 2 minutes left and if we went to the office she mentioned, it would be impossible for us to leave the car park within 2 hours' parking. Besides, there is a taxi behind us. It is difficult to drive backward. I told the staff that we already had lunch at the shopping mall and we had a receipt to prove, we should have the right to enjoy the second hour free parking. We also asked her why it is so inconvenient in this car park while the process at Lung Hang Estate car park that is just nearby is so convenient to drivers. Of course, the woman could not answer. She just asked us to drive back and have someone to chop the receipt. Finally, we gave up and paid $24 for the two hour driving there.

I really wonder why the process is not the same at various public estate car parks under The Link's management. We really wonder whether this is, in fact, the intention of the management at the Sun Tsui estate that they don't want the drivers to enjoy the second hour free parking. It is because that normally the driver will need to hurry to drive the car to the shroff within the last 10 minutes. When they find that they miss the chop, it will be too late for them to find someone to chop on it and as a result, they cannot enjoy the second hour free parking then.

So be careful!

結果我又係俾左$24佢,
