Hong Goods are always reliable. Remember to negotiate the price even in Fortress or Broadway. For example, a Hitachi Plasma list price in the shop $39,800, the bargaining price can be reduced to $31,000 to $32,000.

is it in cash amount? and i have no idea for which plasma, any suggestion? i prefer "hitachi 42 plasma", but yesterday i walked pass fortress and found a new model for samsung 3000:1, and hitachi only still in 1000:1 (contrast scale).
Never go to the big chain to buy, all the goods are delivered by the agents. For your Hitachi, the shop near my home sell at $30,800 cash, I see in internet shop sell at $29,900 cash. All are hong goods. Why bother to negotiate with Fortress or Broadway.
Hitachi is good but the plasma is quite noisy. Never believe the figures such as contrast ratio etc. Just trust your eyes. If most of the time you are watching TV, find one with best TV picture quality.
